ROCK ISLAND--Dr. Drury A. Babcock, 1143 45th St., Rock Island, died Tuesday in his home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery.
Born in Watertown, Illinois, in 1871, he married Elizabeth Oltman in 1897. She preceded him in death. In 1926 he married Minnie Barthel.
He was graduated from the Port Byron Academy in 1891. He studied dentistry at the University of Iowa, but transferred to Vanderbilt Academy from which he was graduated in 1897.
Before retiring in 1930, he had been a dentist in Rock Island 30 years, having been one of the pioneer dentists there.
He leaves his wife; a son, Drury Jr., Galva; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Jamieson, Vista, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
