Willis H. Masten, age 62 years, former Coatesville resident, passed away last Thursday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, after suffering a heart attack the day before. Mr. Masten was a member of the corps of army engineers of Louisville, Kentucky, and had been working on a project at Wright-Patterson air force base in Dayton when stricken. Mr. Masten was the youngest son of Jesse and Ella Masten and was born near Coatesville. Funeral services were held at Dayton Saturday morning and graveside services were held at the Cresthaven Memorial Park cemetery at Bedford Monday morning. Mr. Masten is survived by the widow, Mrs. Evelyn Masten; one daughter, Mrs. Constance Sue Ashman of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Philip and Robert Masten of Dayton, Ohio; and two brothers, Arthur and Clyde Masten, of Coatesville.
