Charles Franklin Box, for many years a resident of Cedar Rapids, died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday at a local hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Box had been ill for many years. He was born May 14, 1866 at Floris, Iowa, where he married Miss Laura Quigley. Previousd to his coming to Cedar rapids he was engaged in the clothing business in Eldon Iowa. At his death he was an employ of the Welch-Cook Company. He is survived by his wife and 2 children, a daughter Miss Carita Box, and a son Glenn Box; four sisters, Kathryn, Laura & Mrs. Addie Wage all of this city, and Mrs. L. J. Nelson of Fairfield, Iowa. The funeral services will be held from the home, 818 First Avenue West, Tuesday at 3 p.m..Rev. P. Y. Pendleton of the First Christian Church, assisted by the Rev. A. M. Jayne of St. John's Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. .
