--Occupation: He was a Weaver in cotton mill for a number of years. He then became an electrical worker for Duke Power company, operating an electrical substation.
--He married #1 t Minnie Britt on July 30, 1901 in Richmond County, NC. Their marriage produced 2 children: Silas Vernie Mauldwin & Fleta Belle Mauldwin.
--He married #2 Dosia "Docie" L. Kiker in 1908; they had 9 children (see wife's memorial for names).
