He had three brothers Dr. Edward, Col. C.E. and Brig. Gen. Victor. He married Miss Martha McLemore Payne.
He along with Camile (CE) and Victor all served in the Confederate forces. Isadore was first a Captain sent to Pensacola, FL and then ordered to the front. He was in the Battle of Shiloh and soon afterwards sent to Augusta where he was made chief of the ordinance department where he served until the end of the War.
He built and owned the largest opera house in Augusta He was in many business ventures in Augusta but met financial reversals about 1875. He later moved to Paducah, KY to be with his children until he died in 1898.
