Edwin William Henry Meyer, 99, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis. Edwin was born Jan. 15, 1912, in Smyrna, Nebraska.

Edwin was a farmer and rancher.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby (Wright) Meyer; and great-grandson, Rick Straub.

Edwin is survived by his son, Dave Meyer of St. Francis; daughter, DeEtta Knorr of St. Francis; brothers, Everett Meyer of Hastings, Nebraska; sister, Alice Janssen of Greeley, Colorado; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
