Riceville – Ray Minnis, 82, a retired farmer, died of a heart attack Thursday while working at the Lawrence Johnson farm west of town.
Born at Mitchell County near Riceville, he had farmed in this area until retiring to town in 1940.
Funeral services are set tentatively for Sunday in the First Baptist Church her. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Riceville Funeral Home in charge.
Surviving are a son, Ivan, Aurora, Mo.; three daughters; Mrs. Grace Grupp, Mason City; Mrs. Glenn Funte, Hampton; Mrs. Lawrence Wolff, Mt. Vernon, Mo.; two brothers, Hugh and Arthur, Riceville. His wife, the former Mabel Foote, preceded him in death.
