The Richmond County native lived in Bulloch County for 15 years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie Shurling Parrish of Brooklet; a son, J. E. Parrish of Kittery, Maine; a brother, Chesley Parrish of Martinez; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Ida Skinner of Augusta and Mrs. Daisy Proveaux of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral: 11 a.m. today at Barnes-Hodges Funeral Home of Statesboro, burial in Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
