John Shell Taylor was born December 27, 1921, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and died April 16, 1977 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at the age of 55.

He is survied by his wife, Velma; two sons, Johnny Harold of Palm Spring, California and Alfred Ray of Indio, California; two daughters, Donna Campos and Carolyn Sue West, both of Indio, California; Two stepsons, Gene Threadgill of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Donald Threadgill of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; three stepdaughters, Mrs Dean Bland and Mrs Louise Snow, both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Mrs Faye Pound of Bryan, Texas; a half-brother, Grover Cleveland Patterson of Orlando, Florida; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home and are being held at 10:00 a m Wednesday, April 20,1977, in Agent Chapel for John Shell Taylor of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Burial will be at Copeland Cemetery, The Rev. O. J. Looper officated.
