Ron died on January 10, 2011 after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He was born in Collbran, CO to Bill and Freda (Bloss) Michaelsen.

He was married to Lauren (Hackler) on January 10, 1970.

Ron loved ranching and took much joy in watching the ranch turn green in the spring and baby calves running around. Ron never minded the hard work that went along with it and instilled in his children a strong love of family and a diligent work ethic. He taught his children that there is nothing you can't do in life if you put your mind to it and encouraged them to reach for and follow their dreams. He lead by example and was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather. His passing will leave a huge hole in the hearts of his loved ones and he will be greatly missed.

Ron was a Master Mason.
