Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Rose, 55, of Luana were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 1, at 2 o'clock at the Schultz Funeral home in Monona with Rev. Paul V. Clements of the Luana-Monona United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Luana City cemetery.
Mrs. Rose died Friday, Sept. 27, having been in ill health for some time.
As Rose Ellen, she was born the daughter of Owen T. Conway and Emma (nee Raymond) Adams Conway on January 19, 1913 at Waterville. She graduated from the Luana consolidated school and took a postgraduate course in normal training at Postville.
She was married to Harry E. Rose of Hampton, July 24, 1931. She spent most of her life in the Luana community.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Don (Marlys Marie) Havelick of Monona; two sons, Darol Gene Rose of Sterling, Ill., and Gary Allen Rose of Fairbanks, Alaska; 12 grandchildren; a half sister, Mrs. Florence (Adams) Townsend of Portland, Ore; two half brothers, Orrin C. Adams and Marlow G. Adams of Oregon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were: Elva Drahn, Adrian Riveland, Harva Miller, Don McShane, Marvin Mohs, and Charles Ziegler.
