Was the son of John J. and Cynthia Perkins Montgomery who died when he was a small child.

MONTGOMERY FUNERAL
TO BE HELD FRIDAY

Funeral services for William Fred Montgomery, 76, 311 North 8th, will be held Friday morning at the West Chapel. Brother Paul Foutz, Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Montgomery was a retired rancher who came to New Mexico about 56 years ago and settled in the area of Queen. Some time ago he moved to Carlsbad and has lived here since.

Montgomery is survived by one son John E., 505 West Utah, and three grandchildren, Barbara, 11; John 9; Sharon 3.

Pall bearners will be Bill Meirs, Jess Buckner, Joe Garrett, Buck Clark, Dwight Lee, and Freddie West.

Honorary pallbearers are Dolph Shattuck, Sam Jones, Cilleo Stewart, Claude West, W.W. Adkins, and John Plowman.
