Rose Poitevin Brady, 92, passed peacefully January 14, 2011.

She was born April 21, 1918, to John J. and Ada F. Poitevin, the first of six children. Her family owned and operated Poitevin Lumber Company, and donated land for Poitevin Park, a popular children's playground.

A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, Rose graduated from Central High School and the University of Washington. She married J. Robb Brady on December 27, 1941.

She lived a quiet, dignified life as a housewife and mother. She volunteered her time in the gift shop at the Sacred Heart Hospital and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Rose loved her time at home, cooking, sewing, knitting and reading. She also loved spending time at the White Cloud Ranch with her husband and friends, and enjoyed skiing and swimming. She had a special relationship with the nuns in Idaho Falls.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 years, J. Robb Brady; sons, Patrick J. Brady and Robert F. Brady; and sisters, Elizabeth Atkinson, Fran (Dauchy) Migel and Louann (John) Jensen. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Joe and Dick Poitevin.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Christ the King Catholic Church on the corner of 17th & Woodruff in Idaho Falls, with Fathers Jairo Restrepo & Thomas Keller, celebrants. A Rosary will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls with a visitation following from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m..

The family suggest memorials be given to The Heaven, P.O. Box 51098, Idaho Falls, Id. 83403.
