Grover Cleveland is the son of Robert and Nancy Parrish Hendrix. Born in Georgia his family moved to AR when he was a child. He grew up with several siblings.

Cleve's first wife was Effie Asilee Cox. They had one child. A son named Hartridge Lee "Buck" Hendricks. He chose to use this varied spelling which is in their family tree. Effie died 28 Oct 1921, when Hartridge was only 6 years old. He was raised by his grandparents, Effie's mom and dad, and is buried in West Otis Cemetery, Sevier County, Arkansas, next to his wife, also named Effie.

On New Year's Eve, 31 Dec 1932, Cleve married Laura Ann "Cricket" Todd. She now lies next to him. They had no children together but they cared for Cricket's mother, Ardelia McCurdy Todd, for many years until her death. She was my great grandmother. Cleve was a farmer in Sevier County.
