The funeral procession of William D. Moffat attracted much attention yesterday noon on Main street. Some eighty people came down from the Park, including the Park City Band of thirteen pieces, under Captain Armington as drum major and W. H. Veal as leader. The Park Masons were well represented, and Undertaker Skewes conducted the funeral. The procession marched from Eighth South to First South streets, thence east to Mount Olivet Cemetery, where the interment was made with Masonic ceremonies. The band led the procession; then came the Masons, the hearse, and next mourners and friends in carriages. The band gave several serenades ere returning home. The deceased was the snare drummer of the band, and it will be hard to replace him.
