Mary had no children of her own. When her sister Nanna was sick, she came to stay with them to help out and was there when her sister, niece Mary and nephew Samuel all died. They are all buried at St Jude Cemetery in Monroe City, Missouri.
Mary was widowed but do not know when. She then went to live with her sister Nanna's only surviving child, Hugh Ford, who was unmarried. She lived with him until her death.
