FRANCIS M. LOWDEN Jr., a farmer and stock raiser, member of the Lowden Company, was born in Walla Walla county, on January 21, 1876. He acquired his education in the public schools of the neighborhood and in Pullman College, in which institution he took a three-years' course in civil engineering. After leaving school he returned to the farm, and when the present firm was formed he was given charge of the stock raising department. He has been discharging his duties as such ever since 1898, and is still doing so. Mr. Lowden is a young man of ability and good judgment, thoroughh' conversant with the business in which he is engaged, and destined, as it would seem, to bear an imix)rtant part in the future material and industrial development of the county.
