Shirley Elnora Ehmer 82, of Prineville, passed away on Jan. 9, 2011.

A graveside service will be held on Jan. 17, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Lower Mitchell Cemetery, Mitchell. Pastor Curtis Holt will officiate the service.

Shirley was born in Oakland, California on December 15, 1928 to Rene' and Betty (Bragg) Madonna.

Shirley graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland. After school she married and started her family. She worked at Coin Millwork and was also a tap dance teacher for many years.

She moved to Mitchell in 1964, where she became a homemaker. She lived there until 10 years ago, at which time she moved to Prineville to be closer to her family.

Shirley enjoyed fishing, camping, and going to the Madras Speedway to watch dirt track racing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. They enjoyed barbecues and always enjoyed the holidays together.

Shirley was a member of the Mitchell Lions Club.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Patterson of Redmond, Oregon Zeek Jimenez of Dayton, Ohio, and Harvey Ehmer; daughter, Christine Patterson of Prineville; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband George.
