J. Robert Leak, 75, died Jan. 16, 1999 at the Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville. Mr. Leak was born June 12, 1923 to Roscoe Ryan and Minnie (Noe) Leak. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty C. "Betz" (Cox) Leak. Mr. Leak was the Hendricks County Surveyor from 1960-1988 and a farmer in Union Township, Hendricks County.
Survivors include three sons, John, Jim and Joe Leak, all of Lizton; two daughters, Nancy Ritchardson of Jamestown and Jaynie Leak of Pittsboro; one sister, Amanda Reiblich of Greencastle and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 19 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, with the Rev. Kirk Langston officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
