Mr. Cox passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his home. He was born Dec. 4, 1915 to the late Lewis and Etta Cox. He was retired from the railroad. He loved farming in Rice Town in Blount County and he loved fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Odna Cox; sister, Zelda Keller; brothers, Eunice (Edith) Cox and Marce (Dorothy) Cox; half-brother, Robert (Bonnie)Cox.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Ruby Lee Hill Cox; daughter, Patricia (Terry) Campbell of Vinemont; granddaughters, Tara (Neal) Underwood of Gardendale, Julie (Cody) Berger of Melissa, TX and Carolina (Mark) Culwell of Hayden; great-grandchildren, Tate and Sara Underwood of Gardendale, Micah and Zachary Berger of Melissa, TX, Tyler and Evan Culwell of Hayden; cousins, niece and nephews.
