Crystal E. (Wilson) Ricks, age 77, of Belding, passed away at Metron of Belding Nursing Home on Friday morning, January 2, 2015. She was born on July 8, 1937, in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of George W. and Erma (Dukes) Wilson, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Gerald Ricks and he preceded her in death in 1985. She worked for Electrolux for 35 years, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
The memory of Crystal will be cherished by her children, Beverly Ricks, Maxine Nieto, William Ricks, Jerry Ricks, Jr., and Judy Franks; and her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other dear family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert, who passed away in 1956; a brother, Robert Wilson and a sister, Dorothy Wilson.
Visitation and Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 6, at Verdun Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding. Family will greet visitors during the visitation hours from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Mike Simmons. Private interment will take place at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, near Belding.
