Tyre was the son of William Harp & Sally (Stanton) Harp. Born in Granville Co, NC but shortly after, the family moved to Overton Co TN.
Tyre served in the War of 1812. He was enrolled in Stephen Copeland's militia to fight the Creek Indians. Tyre was a farmer & a shoemaker.
Tyre is actually buried at the Harp Cemetery at Harp Township in IL, but Harp Township isn't listed & find a grave, said you need a town!! OKAY!
