Gay A. Ellis, 45, 0f 58336 Windser Ave., died at 4:30pm Sunday in Coldspring's Veteran's Hosoital, Indianapolis after a year's illness.
Born on Sept. 28, 1926 to Geza and Mary Czegledy, of South Bend. Gay changed his name when his mother divorced his father. Gay was a former employee of the Mishawaka Park Drpt. Gay saw action in the U.S. Navy in world War ll, South Pacific and Korea theater.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barilich of South Bend; a son David, and a daughter, Miss Sherry Ellis, both of Mishawaka; four brothers, John, George, Alex, and Louis; three stepbrothers,Steve, John, and Joseph Barilich, all of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hagg, of Toledo, Oh., and Mrs. Emma (Emiel)VanVooren, of Mishawaka; and a stepsisters, Mrs. Frances Toth of Elk River, Minn. Buriel will take place in Chaple Hill Cemitary, Osceola, Indiana.
