O. J. AHLGREN WILL BE BURIED STATURDAY

Husband of Former Miss Lida Hayes, of Bessemer.

Oscar John Ahlgren, 63, who died Wednesday in Superior, will be buried there Saturday. Mrs. Ahlgren is the former Miss Lida Hayes of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hayes of this city have left for Superior to attend the funeral services. The deceased visited Bessemer often.

His death followed an operation for gastric ulcer after an illness of several days. Ahlgren was a former deputy and register of deeds of Douglas county at Superior. He was a member of the Eagles order. He was born in Prescott, Wis., and had lived in Superior for 45 years.

Remaining in his family are his wife and two sons, Frank, executive editor of the Memphis Commercial Appeal; and John, of Superior. A brother, Edward, lives at Sturgis, S.D. There are also three sisters.

The deceased was promoter and manager of the Douglas county baseball team in 1911.
