Phyllis P. Annis age 84 of New Richmond passed away after complications from heart surgery. She was born the daughter of Merton and Gladys (Newville) Clark on March 1, 1925 in Shell Lake, WI.
On June 14, 1941, she married Kenneth Annis in Stillwater, MN. Phyllis was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Larry Annis, Sr. of New Richmond, WI, Roxann (Arthur) Sawyer of Turtle Lake, WI, Susan Bond of River Falls, WI, Charli Annis of Cumberland, WI, and William Annis of El Paso, TX; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-granchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Merton Clark of Farmington, MN, William Clark of Centuria, WI and Fred (Elizabeth) Buchholz of Comstock, WI; and many relatives and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Annis; infant son, Steven G. Annis; sister, Joann Yeske; and grandson, Matthew Thompson. A funeral service was held Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Visitation was also Thursday from 10-11 am before the service at church. Interment was Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 in the McKinley Cemetery in the town of McKinley. Arrangements were with Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
