Elizabeth was born in St. Elizabeth, Missouri to Frank Huchtmeyer and Catherine Mary Ortmeyer.

Elizabeth was married to August Herbert Bode on Sept. 1908, and they had three children.

Mrs. Elizabeth Bode, 69, a former resident of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday at a rest home in Kansas City. Mrs. Bode was born May 16, 1888, at St. Elizabeth, the daughter of Frank and Katherine Huchtmeyer. She was married in September, 1908, to August H. Bode, who survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Helen White, Detroit, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. George Bax, St Elizabeth, and Mrs. Otto Schell, Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerome Bestgen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
