Born July 5, 1918 in North, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Wallace Connelly and Bertha Reed Connelly.
Mrs. McElveen was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Riley & Company.
Surviving is a daughter, two grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney W. Connelly, Jr.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. James Chandler officiating.
Private burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
