Frances Fisher, 93, Pittsboro, a former school teacher, died Tuesday, March 3, 1992 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, Illinois. Born Nov. 11, 1898 at Pittsboro, she was the daughter of Chester and Nelle (Dillon) Weaver. On May 18, 1927, she married George L. (Roy) Fisher who preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1979. Mrs. Fisher taught English and Latin for six years at Pittsboro High School until 1927. She was a 50-year member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and a charter member of the Pittsboro Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Services were Saturday, March 7 at the Pittsboro Christian Church where she was a member. Rev. David Kovalow-St. John officiated with burial in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn F. Hill; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
