Goodells, Nov. 4 - Pvt. Allan Weis, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wies, this village, was one of 10 Army air force officers and enlisted men killed in the crash of a four-engine bomber Friday against the lofty Cucamonga peak in the Sierra Madre mountains.
The bodies were removed from the wreckage Wednesday.
Private Weis spent an eight day furlough with his parents here three weeks ago.
The parents received communications from the War department Wednesday and today concerning their son's death, but details as to return of his body will be received later.
A brother of Private Weis, Alvin Weis, 10, was accidentally shot to death four years ago, while playing with other children.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alberta Mannie, Ecorse, Mich., and Mrs. Aletha Huber, Goodells; two brothers, Henry Weis, Goodells, and Emmett Greene seaman second class, Gulf Port, Miss.
He was born Aug. 22, 1924 in Alton, Ill., and was graduated from Memphis High school in June, 1942 He was employed at the Willow Run Bomber plant before his enlistment, Nov. 27, 1942.

Allen was killed in San Bernardino California when the B-24 bomber that he was in crashed into Cucamonga Peak during a training session before deployment. In the report she has, it states that fog and pilot error caused the crash. That happened October 29th 1943. Everyone on board the bomber died instantly..
Alvin his brother, was killed when a friend of his was showing off a hunting rifle that his father gave him. He said the gun wasn't loaded, pointed it at him and pulled the trigger. Allen was there and saw it happen.
