Information provided comes from research I am doing on my Arrick family tree. Clarissa is a sister to my greatgreatgrandmother, Rachel (Newell) Arrick. Their mother is Margaret Bakehorn (Wilson) Newell, the woman mentioned as her mother. Clarissa's father is reported to have passed away in Indiana, but I have not been able to verify a grave for him anywhere. Margaret and Porter moved to Iowa in the mid 1800's and eventually moved to western Iowa near Council Bluffs. Several of her children are buried in the same plot with spouses. Porter and Margaret had 15 children from what I have researched. Clarissa was one of the few who remained in Indiana.
