Abraham Garcia Santana, born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, on September 8, 1916, died on May 22, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eva Baca Santana; Joe Santana his son and his wife, Gloria; Joanna Santana Midyette, and her husband Monty; five grandchildren: Jennifer Santana Cerutti, her husband Charles, Julia Santana Saites, her husband Greg, Jolene Santana Dow, her husband Eric, Jason Midyette, and Jesse Midyette; five great-grandchildren; Cameron Cerutti, Casey Cerutti, Courtney Cerutti, Xavier Dow, and Tobias Dow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and five brothers. Abraham served his country during WWII in the US Army. After living and working in the sugar cane fields in Cabo Rojo he moved to New York City where he was drafted (1941) and honorably discharged in 1945. He met his wife, Eva, in Los Angeles after which they moved to NY and after 12 years there moved to Albuquerque his new home and Eva's birth place. He retired from the Corp of Engineers (Sandia Base) at the age of 67.

He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He never met a stranger.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason, Jesse, and his great-grandsons, Cameron, Casey, Xavier, and Tobias.

Honorary Pallbearer will be his great-granddaughter, Courtney Cerutti.
