Feliciana "Fillie" Torres Gallegos Chavez, born March 23, 1934, in Albuquerque, died May 9, 2009 in Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel Gallegos and Epimenia Torres Gallegos; sisters, Lucy Havercamp, Della Tracey, Mary Archibeque and Cipriana "Pana" Gallegos; brothers, Herman T. Gallegos, Freddie T. Gallegos, David T. Gallegos and Abraham Grey Gallegos; daughter, Deborah Marie Chavez Coffman and a grandson, baby Jonathan Chavez.

Fillie is survived by her sister, Esther Torres Gallegos Pollock; daughter, Cindy Chavez Harvey and her husband, Brian and a son, George M. Chavez, Jr. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Chandra Miller, Heather Miller, Mikala Rice Harvey, Christopher Chavez, Justin Chavez, Tanya Chavez and Chandon Coffman and great-grandchildren, Alex Archibeque, Ben Archibeque and Angelena Archibeque.

Fillie was a member of Buen Samaratano Methodist Church in Albuquerque where services held on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Blanco officiating.
Interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
