EDITH L. HILL
Edith L. Hill, 91, died Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C., following a two-month illness.
A Wyandot county native, she was born Sept. 17, 1889, to William and Margaret (Courtad) Lowry. On Apr. 30, 1917, she married Joseph Hill in Upper Sandusky. He died Feb. 29, 1976.
She is survived by three children, Jane, Washington, D.C.; John, Rockville, Md.; and James, Laurel, Md.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Marguerite Lowry, and a brother, Earl Lowry, both of Upper Sandusky.
One sister and two brothers are deceased.
Mrs. Hill taught at Eden School prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Catholic church.
A funeral mass was held this morning in Washington, D.C. Deacon, Floyd Derr will officate the graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Oak Hill Cemetery. Lucas Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
