He was born on Thursday, May 31, 1928, to the late Samuel Nicholas and Ada Nicholas nee Steiff in Lebanon.
He worked as a flagman for PennDot and was a veteran of the Army in the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed watching westerns and Three Stooges.
He also enjoyed working on cars and planting trees.
Surviving is daughters, Donna M. spouse of Kendall Klein, Myerstown, Anita Zemaitis, Elizabethtown; son, Rick spouse of Karen Nicholas, Richland; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Darlene Becker, Lillian Michael, Shirley Wilson, Harvey Stamm; brother, Earl Nicholas; sisters, Shirley Nicholas, Jerry and Carol; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Nicholas; grandchildren, Corey Root, Steven Root; stepdaughter, Linda Rivera; and brother, Larry Nicholas.
A viewing will be on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon.
F uneral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, on Thursday at 10 a.m. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
