Aubrey Terrell Key was the son of Ira Terrell Key and Florence Myrtle Clower. He was born 19 Jul 1896 in Rogers, Bell County, Texas. At the time of the 1900 census, Aubrey was living in Sayre, Ouachita County, Arkansas with his parents and one younger sibling. By 1910, he was living with his parents and two younger siblings in Arkadelphia, Clark County, Arkansas. On 18 Oct 1920, He started working for Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Aubrey Terrell Key married Lois Erin Deason on 21 Apr 1924 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. They began their married life in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas where they had their first child. In June 1928, they moved from Amarillo to Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. At the time of the 1930 census, Aubrey, Lois and their two children were living in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas where Aubrey serviced Burrough machines. In 1939, Burroughs moved them to Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas where Aubrey continued to work for Burroughs until his retirement. After his wife died on 11 Aug 1971, Aubrey moved to Austin, Travis County, Texas into a retirement home. He died there on 22 Mar 1983. Aubrey Terrell Key was a member of the Methodist church all his life.
