Mrs. Blanche Flegal Stewart, 88, widow of Dr. Samuel Cooper Stewart, prominent Clearfield Physician, died at her home in the Stewart Apartments, North Second Stree, April 14 at 1:45pm following a lingering illness.
Born in Luthersburg, Oct 26, 1859, she is survived by a son, Hugh D. Stewart of Providence, R.I., a grandson Lever F. Stewart, Ventnor, N.J., and one brother and one sister, Mary Edna Flegal, Berwyn, and Harry Flegal of Philipsburg. Her husband preceded her death in 1918.
Private funeral services will be held at the Leavy Funeral Home, Clearfield, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. W W Banks Methodist pastor, in charge. Interment will be in the Hillcrest cemetery. Firends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.
