Ken was born in Hannibal. His mother died and his father wasn't able to take care of a new born so he was raised in the home of his great aunt and uncle, Catherine and Ed Treaster. On February 26, 1938, he married Alice Ruth Strieker in Quincy. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2009.

Kenneth enjoyed golf and going to flea markets and was an avid collector of stamps, records, baseball cards and brass figurines.

Mr. Treaster was employed at Ryan Aeronautical in San Diego, California as a master drill machinist for 38 years until his retirement.

Mr. Treaster was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice; a granddaughter, Beverly Treaster; a sister, Opal Jones; and three brothers, Glenn Treaster, Everett Treaster and Harold Treaster.

Mr Treaster was not raised by his father after his mother passed. He was raised by his Uncle Ed Treaster and Aunt Kate Treaster. They were never allowed to adopt him.
