The funeral services for Gerald A. Peterman, Burlington, Kan., were held Dec. 3 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church, Burlington, Kan., with Rev. Lawrence Kelley officiating.

Burial was in Graceland cemetery with Flag ceremony by Congdon-Kepler Post No. 38, American Legion, Burlington, Kan.

Gerald Austin Peterman was born at Waverly, Kan., Jan. 10, 1918, to Charles and Hazel Garrett Peterman. His childhood was spent in the Burlington area. He served in world war 2 in the army air force. He was a truck driver and filling station operator for Phillips Oil Co.

On June 17, 1958 he married Matilda Rodesch Mai at Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo. They lived in Colorado and Missouri before moving back to Burlington in 1966. Since that time he had been in failing health and passed away in the Veterans hospital at Topeka, Kan., Nov. 30.

Survivors are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Hazel Peterman, Lyndon; one sister, Mrs. Melvin Henley, Topeka and two brothers, Orlin of Lyndon and Harold of Burlington.

Survivors also include three sons, Wesley, Bruce and Curtis all of Kansas City, Kan.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Eldon Garrett, Burlington; one grandson and two step-grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church and Congdon-Kepler Post No. 38, American Legion.
