Final Riles Thursday
ROCHESTER — Final rites for
Mrs. Amanda Fites, 80, resident of
the Gilead community, will be at
two o'clock Thursday from the
Methodist church in Gilead. The
Reverend C. W. Montgomery of
Mexico will officiate and burial
will be in the Gaerte cemetery
near Gilead.
Friends may call at the Moyer-
Haupert funeral home in Akron.
Her death occurred at 5 o'clock
Monday evening at the Rochester
nursing home, after a three
months illness.
Born June 26, 1872, in Miami
county, she was the daughter of
Henry and Sarah Toland Gaerte.
Her husband, Frank Fites, died in
1925. She was a member of the
Methodist church in Gilead.
Survivors are two sons and a
daughter: Oscar, Akron; Jewell,
near Gilead; Mrs. Walter Hall,
Los Angeles; four grandchildren;
one sister, Mrs. Oren Krieg, Ro-
ann, Indiana.
