Because he never left Maryland let alone served in a war but the parents listed on this memorial are my GGF's parents and my William was married to Nancy Truitt who also never left Maryland. I'm completely lost at this point. I never had a FaG link for him. All I had were census records from Family Search.org
PVT Wm S. Cooper was a member of the 33rd Mississippi Infantry Company I who enlisted in Panola, MS on May 8, 1862.
