He is survived by a devoted wife, Willie Mae Cone, Statesboro; two daughters, Dollie Mae Harrison, Plainfield, N.J., and Shirley C. (Robert F.) Parrish, Savannah; one son, Gordon E. (Betty) Cone Jr., Savannah; two sisters, Mary A. Lawrence, Portal, and Alice Smith, Savannah; one brother, Remer (Rena) Cone, Statesboro; one sister-in-law, Mattie L. Cone, Manhattan, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Dea. Cone will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Hunter, eulogist. Burial: church cemetery.
