Mrs. Sylvia Kathleen Fite Ayer, 89 of Tallahassee, Fl. Formerly of Rome, passed away Thursday June 24th in a Tallahassee Health Care.
Mrs. Ayer was born January 27, 1921, in Gordon County, the daughter of the late Isaac Fite and Lula Mae White Fite. She was a member of West Rome Baptist Church. Mrs. Ayer worked as a bookkeeper, for Andrews Motor Co. Wellborn Chevrolet and retired from Dellinger's as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jewel Strickland, Annie Lou Fite, Ruth Stanley, and Lois Fite.
Survivors include her daughters, Maxine (Richard) McAfee, Rome, and Linda (Randy) Belyew, Tallahassee, FL. Grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley) Millican, Christopher Millican, and Elizabeth Millican, great grandchild, Joshua Riley Millican. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday June 29th at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Parnick Jennings, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, FL. 32308-1530.
