Keranen, Jane E.: Of Grand Blanc, age 86, died Thursday, October 31, 1996 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, Nov. 4, 1996 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Rev. W. O. Neisch officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Association of the Deaf Club. Visitation 1-9PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keranen was born in Lowell, Michigan on July 6, 1910 and was a resident of the Grand Blanc and Flint area most of her life, spending 1972 to 1994 in Los Angeles, California.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint and a member of Pilgrim Tower Lutheran Church in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Keranen was a lifetime member of Flint Association of the Deaf and a member of Los Angeles Association of the Deaf.
She was also a member of Senior Citizens Flint Association of the Deaf.
Surviving are 2 daughters; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mattie W. Keranen, on July 20, 1969 and brother, Jack McCarty.
