Mr. Leon Fields, age 78, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011. His parents, Lawson and Edith Fields, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Shirley Clement Fields, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter, Sue Heard, Dacula, GA; son, Vernon Fields, Buford, GA; step daughter, Bruce Ann Green, Sylva, NC; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Jerry Kennedy, Carl, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jennie Clement, Inman, SC; sister-in-law, Mary Helen Clement, Whittier, NC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Fields was born December 12, 1932 in Buford, GA. He was a graduate of Sugar Hill School in Sugar Hill, GA. He was retired after many years of service as a deputy sheriff and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of West Buford Baptist Church.
