George H. Brassfield

 

  George H. Brassfield, 65, of 518 Buchanan Street died at 4 am yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient several hours.

  A native of Villa Ridge, Illinois, he moved to Fort Wayne in 1959, and was a retired employee of the Illinois Central Railroad Company.

  Surviving is his wife, Ada; three sons, Howard, Harvey, and Harold, all of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Green, also of Chicago, Miss Fay Brassfield, Indianapolis, Mrs. Elaine Grayton, Rantoul, Illinois, and Joyce, at home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Bradford and Mrs. Catherine Mulls, Fort Wayne; a stepson, David James Easley, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. May Pickard, Mrs. Alice Hegler, and Mrs. Bernetta Melvin, Detroit; and five grandchildren.

  Services will be at 11 am Thursday in Micheaux Funeral Home, the Rev. P. H. Love officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
