She was married to Milton Plummer who died July 13, 1964.
Mrs. Plummer was a member of the High Street Congregational Church in Newport and also a member of the Alliance of the Church. She was a member and Past Matron of Nokomis Chapter #42 Order of the Eastern Star Newport. She was also a past District Deputy of District 16. A few day before her death Gertrude was presented a certificate for being Newport's oldest citizen.
She is survived by three sons; Ronald C. Plummer of Newport and Florida Howard A. Plummer of Zephyrhills Florida and Alvin B. Plummer of Leesburg Florida, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson.
Burial will be in the family lot Riverside Cemetery Newport. (Brown Funeral Home on-line)
