GANS — Mildred F. Bethel, 88, of Gans died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in Norman, Okla. She was born June 22, 1915, in Sebastian County. She was a retired postmaster at Gans Post Office and attended Gans Bible Church. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Gans Bible Church with burial at Memory Gardens cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Blake of Norman, Okla.; a son, Lander Bethel of Norman, Okla.; a half brother, Waldo Fischer of Seneca, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Doug, Scott and Steve Bethel, Jerry and Howard Blake and Adrian Page. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to Gans Bible Church.
