Charles O. Hoffman, 78, pioneer
for the Lostwood community, died
at the Grant Smith home in Stanley
from cancer, Wednesday, December
12. After being a patient in a Minot
hospital for about 5 months, he was
returned to Stanley about a month
and a half ago and was cared for
at the Smith home until his death.
Funeral services were held De-
cember 15 at Lostwood, with Rev.
Jorgenson officiating. Burial was at
Lostwood.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs.
L. M. Reynolds of Rio Linda, Calif.
and two brothers, Roy of Sioux City,
Iowa, and C. A. Hoffman of Cen-
tralia, Kansas.
