Lou Fielder was born November 15, 1828, in Anderson District, South Carolina.

She married Alexander Brightwell Fielder in Eastport, Mississippi.

Mrs. Fielder moved from Alabama to Smith County with her family in 1867 and to Tyler in 1891.

She died on July 18, 1906, at her home in Tyler. She was 77.

Mrs. Fielder was preceeded in death by her husband in 1878. She was survived by her children: A.A. (Gus) Fielder, Mayor of Sherman, Texas; B.L. Fielder, of Sherman; John A. and Doc A. Fielder of Ardmore, I.T.; Mrs. I.L. Stell, Durant, I.T.; Mrs. O.B.White, Dallas; Mrs. S.C. Halverson, Mrs. Oscar McFarland, and Miss Mattie Fielder, of Tyler.
