Age 65. Passed away Friday, March 1, 2002 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN after a brief illness. Born in Harrisburg, IL on December 10, 1936. A graduate of Harrisburg Township High School class of 1954. A long time Joliet area resident, moving to Clarksville in 1997. A United States Navy Veteran. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet after 35 years of service. Member of the Warfield Boulevard Church of Christ, Clarksville. Member of Viet Now (Will County Chapter) and IAM Union.
    Preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Emma (nee White) Hibbs; one brother, Lonnie Hibbs.
    Survived by his wife of 40 years, Louise (nee Hensley) Hibbs of Clarksville, TN; one son, Brian (Carrie) Hibbs of Davenport, IA; two daughters, Cindy (Clifton) Schnarr of Elwood and Susan (Kerry) Welch of Palestine; four grandchildren, Ashley, Kara and Jacob Welch; and Sam Wilson; one brother, Dowell (Glenda) Hibbs of Mt. Vernon, IL; one sister, Lenora Saenz of Joliet.
    Funeral services for Eddie L. Hibbs will be Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel, Rick Billingsly officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 5-9 pm at
